Recovery and Long-Term Impact

Around one-third of patients recover well.
Many experience long-term effects such as weakness or paralysis on one side or speech difficulties.
Rehabilitation can help - physiotherapy improves mobility, speech therapy supports communication.

However, many patients live with permanent disability.

Risk of Another Stroke

Prevention is essential and includes:
Medical treatment
Lifestyle changes
Regular follow-up care
